SYNOPSIS

DOLI is a 2D animated film about a spirit of light called a Doli who is unknowingly attacked by its counterpart, the Ch’iidii. The Doli are kind and happy spirits that keep order and beauty in their paradise.When the Ch’iidii demon senses a Doli, he hunts it down to consume its spiritual energy.  Though gifted with tremendous power, it’s forbidden for the Doli to harm other spirits with it. DOLI showcases several design aspects such as a layout design and character design based on a colorful mix of African and Navajo tribal pattern art direction. Screen design was hand-drawn, scanned, and imported into ToonBoom Storyboard Pro to create a timed animatic. The film will be animated in the fluid hand-drawn digital animation style on ToonBoom Harmony.
